Conan by Timzo

We're back with another fantastic, budget-friendly texture. If you loved the look of the Pastiche Loop but need a highly accessible, hassle-free option that doesn't strictly demand a separate underlay purchase, Conan is your answer. It is a highly competitive, functional entry-level loop pile designed specifically to provide clean lines and resilient daily performance without breaking the bank.

The Conan collection is engineered for practical, modern living. Woven into a tight, resilient Loop Pile format, it completely bypasses the flattening or tracking that standard tufted carpets show over time. With a tight 6.5mm total height and an ultra-manageable 350g/m² pile weight, it presents a sharp, minimalist aesthetic that keeps cleanup simpler than ever.

The definitive structural feature here is the Felt Backing option. This makes the carpet significantly easier to fit, less prone to scratching skirting boards during installation, and gives it the capability to be laid directly to the subfloor if working to a strict budget (though an underlay will always extend its lifespan).

Why Conan is the Ultimate Value Loop

• Stair-Ready and Practical: Unlike many budget options, Conan boasts a full Class 22 General Domestic rating and is approved for use on stairs, if you choose Action Backing. The tight loop structures wrap uniformly around steps, preventing a worn-down look over time. We don't recommend using the felt backing on stairs, due to the reduced flexibility.

• Life-Proof Polypropylene: Made from 100% Polypropylene, the yarn is non-porous and natively bleach-cleanable. Muddy footprints, accidental tea spills, or pet accidents can be tackled safely with a diluted bleach solution.

• Guaranteed Performance: Timzo backs this neat range with a 5-Year Wear Warranty and a 10-Year Stain Warranty, offering long-term reassurance to landlords and first-time buyers alike.

• Excellent Underfloor Heating Partner: Pushing a low Tog rating, Conan is incredibly efficient at letting ambient heat rise freely into your rooms, keeping energy bills down and spaces perfectly comfortable.

Technical Specifications

The Palette: Earthy Neutrals and Mineral Hues

The Conan palette focuses on an accessible, high-performance selection of tones that naturally break up the visual field to help mask light dust and debris between vacuums.

• The Urban Monochromes: Silver offers a crisp, metallic mid-grey that brightens tight hallways, while Anthracite delivers a deep, grounded charcoal texture that adds contemporary definition.

• The Warming Beiges: Light Beige and Dark Beige form the backbone of the collection, serving up soft, sandy foundations that sit perfectly alongside traditional wood elements.

• The Saturated Rich Tones: Cognac adds an inviting, toasted luxury hue to a living room or study, while Tobacco delivers a dense, robust brown that is incredibly forgiving in high-traffic entryways.

Expert Guidance: Suitability & Maintenance

• Where to Fit: Conan is exceptionally versatile. Thanks to its thin profile and tight gauge, it is an excellent match for Hallways, Stairs, and Landings, but functions just as smoothly in modern Bedrooms and rental property renewals where durability is key.

• Acoustics & Insulation: Despite its sleek profile, the felt backing naturally helps absorb impact sound up to 10dB, softening the echo of footsteps on upper floor levels.

• Maintenance Reminder: As with all traditional loop piles, we highly recommend using a suction-only vacuum cleaner. Avoid heavy rolling beater bars or power brushes, which can snag or fuzz the tightly woven loop structures over time.

The Verdict: Maximum Value, No Hassle

Timzo's Conan loop carpet proves that you don't need to spend a fortune to get a smart, contemporary, and reliable floor. It's clean, robust, simple to fit, and completely bleach-cleanable. Whether you are refreshing a busy landing in Silver or anchoring a cozy home office with Tobacco, Conan delivers effortless utility that stands up to real life.

Please note - At this time we can only supply the Felt Backing option for Conan. We hope to be able to bring back the Action Backing soon.
